Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Manager to lead the Advanced Heart Failure Comprehensive Care Center. This is a key position within the UCSF Health Heart and Vascular Service line, responsible for developing and implementing new programs, policies, and patient care service standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new programs, policies, and patient care service standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
  • Partner with UCSF Health Nurse educators and the Nursing Professional Development team to develop nursing education, policy, and procedure
  • Coordinate staffing, training, and material resources for various areas, including the AHF clinic staff, Heart Failure Disease Management staff, and others
  • Develop and implement new programs, policies, and patient care service standards
  • Collaborate with senior management to set objectives and develop strategic plans
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with patient populations that include Heart Failure, Heart transplant, cardiology, and mechanical circulatory support
  • Advanced knowledge of industry trends and experience in data analysis
  • Leadership skills to manage and motivate employees and oversee HR administration
  • Ability to resolve conflict/personnel issues and counsel staff
  • Proven analytical abilities and problem-solving skills to quickly evaluate complex issues and identify options for resolution
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate through all mediums and with all groups
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification required in some cardiovascular disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research
  • Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, human resources, and risk management planning
License/Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related area
  • Master's degree in nursing or related area
  • Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Nurse Practitioner license in the State of California
  • Current AHA BLS
  • Board certification
