Position Overview

As an Event Catering Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing the Catering Department. Your responsibilities will encompass training new team members, managing event setups, and guiding temporary staff in their daily tasks. You will ensure that clients receive outstanding service during events, which includes meticulous setup, cleanup, and breakdown procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all catering events to ensure seamless execution.
  • Engage in catering operations, focusing on logistics, quality enhancement, sanitation, and facility management.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design and refine menus.
  • Train catering staff on service techniques, menu presentation, and customer interaction.
  • Monitor labor and food costs associated with each event.
  • Maintain effective communication with management, clients, and team members to foster strong relationships.
  • Assist in managing all foodservice-related activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years in food service, with at least 1 year in a management capacity.
  • Experience in diverse settings such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, and healthcare.
  • Prior catering experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with food and catering trends, emphasizing quality, production, sanitation, and presentation.
  • Strong financial, budgeting, and accounting skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • ServSafe Certification is required.
