Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced attorney to serve as a Supervisory Attorney Adviser in our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to our team, as well as supervising and mentoring junior attorneys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to our team on a wide range of complex legal issues.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our legal team.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve our organizational goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in the law and regulatory requirements that impact our organization.
Requirements
  • JD degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
  • At least 5 years of post-professional law degree experience.
  • Strong, demonstrated qualifications in academic achievement, substantive knowledge and expertise in the laws, rules and regulations applicable to the work of the section or substantially similar laws, rules and regulations.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and make sound judgments.
  • Experience working collaboratively and productively with others.
  • Ability to motivate and engage employees.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Substantive knowledge of and expertise in the statutes and executive orders that the Section enforces and implements.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Judicial clerkships (especially in federal court), law review, moot court, clinical experience.
