Job Summary

The Operating Room (OR) Service Line Specialist plays a crucial role in providing administrative, human resource, and financial management of designated perioperative specialty service lines following Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) standards at multiple surgical locations under Loma Linda University Medical Center License. This position collaborates with Perioperative Business Manager to control and analyze costs of service lines and identify ways to standardize and reduce expenses while maintaining quality service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate with vendors on inventory needs and pricing
  • Establish good working relationships with service line surgeons to develop, improve, and market service lines
  • Supervise and train Registered Nurses, Surgical Technicians, and Patient Care Assistants on best practice for designated service line
  • Serve as a role model and provide positive influence to facilitate change

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field required; Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field preferred or in progress
  • Minimum two years clinical experience in area of service line specialty required; prior management or supervisory experience preferred

Estimated Salary

$62,000 - $82,000 per year, based on experience and location.


Licensures and Certifications

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
