Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with the management team and kitchen staff
  • Guarantee the timely preparation, freshness, and quality of all food items, adhering to the highest culinary standards
  • Follow established recipes, ensuring accurate measuring, weighing, and mixing of ingredients as outlined in training manuals
  • Prepare raw fish with precision and care
  • Consistently produce sushi rice with the required texture and consistency
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage restocking and preparation tasks efficiently
  • Implement and uphold hygiene standards and safe food handling practices
  • Properly handle and store all ingredients and food items
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space
  • Present dishes attractively through plating and garnishing
  • Assist with various kitchen needs as they arise
  • Coordinate food preparation for large catering events, both onsite and offsite
  • Support catering and delivery operations as needed
  • Ensure all opening and closing procedures are executed thoroughly
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests from guests
  • Participate in marketing events, such as trade shows and charity functions, as required
  • Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations as specified by management

  • Comprehensive understanding of culinary principles and standards
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor, instilling these values in team members

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Physical stamina to remain on feet and alert for extended periods
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs as necessary

Required Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated passion and energy for the culinary industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional kitchen experience preferred, with sushi experience being advantageous
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including on-call shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays
