We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular CV Tech II to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a Cardiovascular CV Tech II, you will play a critical role in assisting in cardiac catheterization, vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, and emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedures.
Responsibilities- Assist in cardiac catheterization, vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, and emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedures.
- Perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedure – IAB and temporary pacer insertion.
- Follow established standards and practices under the direction of a credentialed invasive cardiologist, or credentialed invasive radiologist.
- Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in recognizing and identifying potential and actual patient problems, collecting accurate data and participate in the patient's Place of Care in accordance with the department/unit's standards.
- Prioritize resources to patient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate patient information and staff capabilities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac A & P, with the specific conditions, diseases (CAD), and treatment therapies for the specific patient populations of the Department.
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency to perform Cath lab procedures.
- Assist in data collection r/t cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal and peripheral vascular status. Document findings and reports abnormal or out-of-range results to physician.
- High school or GED required
- LPN one year experience with Critical Care course within one year of hire or one year Cath Lab experience or one year RCIS or CVT or Graduate of accredited RCVT program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
