Key Responsibilities:
The Nursing Clinical Supervisor is accountable for overseeing both clinical and administrative personnel and programs during their shift. This role involves assisting the Department Director with the daily operations of the unit, including directing, supervising, and evaluating staff, while ensuring optimal utilization of time, resources, and personnel. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining the effective operation of the department and may provide direct patient care as necessary, within the scope of practice. Continuous assessment of patient care is essential, with the ability to direct staff to implement immediate adjustments to care plans.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:
1. Possession of a current and valid state RN License.
2. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
3. A minimum of 5 years of RN experience in an acute care hospital emergency department.
4. Certification in BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) upon hire, with maintenance of current status.
5. Completion of current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) training within 3 months of employment.
