We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia services, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care, to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Perform pre-anesthesia functions, including reviewing patient medical history, conducting physical examinations, and ordering laboratory tests as necessary.
- Conduct post-anesthesia care, including monitoring patients' vital signs, administering pain medication, and providing education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in departmental improvement processes and quality assurance initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to stress and pressure. The CRNA will be required to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. The position also requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands as necessary.
