Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Gillette Children's. As a PICU Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients from infancy to age 25 who are critically injured, seriously ill, or recovering from major surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care that optimizes the patient's health status and outcomes through the use of the nursing process.
  • Assess patients thoroughly and create individualized plans of care that are evidence-based.
  • Implement interventions effectively and prioritize and respond quickly to emergency situations.
  • Communicate patient-related nursing data and information to enhance active and informed decision making by patients, families, nurse colleagues, and other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

  • Documentation of completion of professional nursing program (RN program)
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the MN Board of Nursing
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
