Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Residents in Daily Living Activities
    • Provide assistance with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
    • Train residents in self-care practices to promote independence and confidence.
  • Support Therapeutic Activities
    • Aid staff in administering therapeutic activities, such as physical exercises, arts and crafts, and recreational games.
    • Encourage social interaction and engagement among residents.
  • Monitor and Document Resident Behavior
    • Observe and document residents' behaviors to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals.
    • Report any changes in resident status to the Administrator or DON as needed.
  • Assist with Medication Administration
    • Assist residents in taking medication as prescribed.
    • Report any concerns or issues related to medication administration to medical personnel.
  • Accompany Residents on Off-Grounds Trips
    • Accompany residents on off-grounds trips and instruct them in purchasing items.
    • Ensure residents' safety and well-being during off-grounds activities.
  • Follow Facility Safety Guidelines
    • Follow facility safety guidelines, including proper lifting technique and Universal Precautions.
    • Report any safety concerns or issues to management.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Experience
    • At least one year of experience in a related field (preferred).
  • Certifications
    • Basic First Aid & CPR certification.
    • Clear California and Federal background checks.
