Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Mental Health Systems, Inc. as a Mental Health Specialist.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and conduct health and wellness screenings. They will also provide crisis intervention and medication education to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide injections, medication support, diagnostic reviews, case consult, crisis intervention, and targeted case management services to assist clients with basic needs and symptom management.
  • Conduct health and wellness screenings, provide wellness coaching and education, and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Dispense and account for prescribed medication, assist psychiatrists in administering and evaluating prescribed medication, and arrange lab work according to protocol.
  • Provide field-based services as required by program and client need, maintain confidentiality of client care, and participate in scheduled program meetings.
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional growth by attending in-service trainings and staff development programs and seeking out supervision regularly.
  • Maintain active LVN certification and cover LVN duties at other clinics in the agency as directed by the PM or S/VP.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse in California required.
  • Valid CA Driver's License and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
  • Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
  • Cultural competency understanding required. Bilingual preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
