Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Facility Engineer is tasked with the supervision of the installation and upkeep of all machinery and the infrastructure within the production facility. This role demands exceptional leadership capabilities, technical knowledge, and a dedication to fostering a safe and productive workplace.
Primary Duties:
- Lead and manage all personnel within the maintenance division. Organize, assign, and prioritize all maintenance activities.
- Equipment Management: Direct all initiatives related to the installation, relocation, and decommissioning of equipment. Develop a comprehensive project plan addressing each component of the initiative. Ensure that all equipment-related tasks are executed safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Maintenance Strategy: Formulate and implement maintenance strategies to guarantee that machinery and facilities remain in optimal condition.
- Preventive Maintenance: Supervise preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime.
- Problem Solving: Spearhead troubleshooting efforts and oversee the repair processes for machinery and facilities.
- Training and Development: Assess training requirements and manage the creation and delivery of training programs for the maintenance staff.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other divisions such as production and quality assurance to ensure seamless operations.
- Documentation: Keep precise records of all maintenance-related activities for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold product quality by adhering to established procedures and completing necessary documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training.
- A minimum of five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to make informed strategic decisions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Robust knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial electronics.
- Familiarity with PLC control systems is essential.
- Practical experience with one or more widely-used PLC control systems is preferred.
