About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing of metal materials at our Denver facility.

Responsibilities
  • Assist shredder operators in changing out conveyors, bearing shafts, and greasing to maintain optimal production levels.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment by keeping the conveyor area tidy and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Pick only copper and Auto Shredder Residue (ASR) to ensure quality material is shipped to our customers.
  • Collaborate with shredder operators during projects to achieve monthly production goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, such as snow removal, salt spreading, leaf blowing, driving yard dogs, traffic control, and load inspection.
Requirements
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
  • Willingness to work in variable weather conditions, including hot summers and cold winters.
  • Ability to learn and follow direction, with mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
