UofL Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a complex orthopedic setting.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate efficient patient flow and provide clinical support to providers to deliver patient-centered care.
- Prepare patients for physician visits by documenting chief complaints, obtaining vital signs, and completing necessary paperwork.
- Perform clinical duties such as injections, immunizations, medication administration, and laboratory testing.
- Provide indirect patient care in the phone triage setting and work closely with physicians to ensure patient needs are met.
- Responsible for scheduling patient appointments, requesting prescription refills, and completing clinical miscellaneous items.
- Associate degree or completion of a nursing program over 18 months and up to 3 years in duration.
- Current Kentucky Nursing License.
- 1 year of LPN medical office experience preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association.
This is a very mobile position that requires good portion of the day spent walking, standing, reaching, and bending. Exposure to blood-borne pathogens and respiratory conditions is possible in this position.
