Position Summary

We are looking for a proficient Marine Technician to enhance our service team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of marine engines and systems while ensuring effective communication with clients and colleagues to facilitate timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on marine engines and systems.
  • Identify and resolve complex issues related to marine vessels, including fuel, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new marine equipment, such as engines and navigation systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring the use of appropriate safety gear and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all services performed on customer vessels and ensure timely submission of reports.
  • Keep the workspace clean and organized.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Marine technician certification or relevant experience (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of marine mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
