Key Responsibilities

The individual in this role will be tasked with:

  • Analyzing HVAC project specifications and blueprints.
  • Utilizing a computerized estimating system to produce precise and timely sheet metal take-offs.
  • Preparing comprehensive labor and material estimates.
  • Requesting quotes from various vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications

A successful candidate will possess:

  • 1-5 years of experience in sheet metal, mechanical, or a related field.
  • A solid understanding of contract plans and specifications, with the ability to identify the scope of work and necessary components for a complete estimate.
  • Strong multitasking abilities along with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Excel and Outlook.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following are advantageous:

  • A college degree in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in sheet metal estimating.
  • Familiarity with ESTmep or similar estimating software.
