The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a patient-first practice that prioritizes quality care over profit.
Your Mission:
Manage a caseload of 15 patients per day, with the goal of increasing to 30-35 patients daily, providing comprehensive ophthalmic care, including patient diagnosis and treatment. Collaborate with a full support team, including scribes, receptionists, and technicians, to ensure smooth, efficient patient care. Engage in community outreach and education programs as needed. Maintain high standards for patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
Core Competencies:
Comprehensive Ophthalmology:
Ability to provide a full range of ophthalmic care, including patient diagnosis and treatment.
Team Collaboration:
Working with support staff to ensure smooth, efficient patient care.
Patient-Centered Care:
A strong commitment to delivering high-quality care in a growing retirement community. Surgical Skills (Optional): Ability to perform surgeries if desired, with hospital privileges provided.
What You Bring:
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Ophthalmology. Experience is flexible, open to both new graduates and those with extensive experience. Hospital privileges required if performing surgeries (support provided). Experience with Modernize Medicine (EMA) is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care.

Comprehensive understanding of ophthalmic care, patient diagnosis, and treatment.
Teamwork & Leadership:
Ability to collaborate with support staff and lead a patient-centered care approach.
Surgical Skills:
Optional, but experience in performing surgeries is welcome.

Ability to engage with a retirement community and maintain patient satisfaction.
Certifications:
Board Certification or Board Eligibility Required.
Education:
Medical Degree Required. Ophthalmology Residency Completed Required.
Work Environment & Benefits:
Base Salary:
$220k to $250k annually, plus performance-based bonuses. Health Insurance: 70% employer-paid, 30% employee-paid (100% employee contribution for family coverage). 401(k) Retirement Plan: 3% employer match after 1 year of employment. Time Off: 1 week of sick leave, 2 weeks of PTO, and 1 week of CME. Malpractice Insurance: Provided through OMIC (tail insurance covered by the candidate before joining). Partnership Opportunity: Buyout option available for those interested in practice ownership.
Additional Requirements:
Open to relocation and candidates within a 1-hour commute of Winchester, VA, and Woodstock, VA. Must be a United States citizen, permanent resident, or visa holder already residing in the U.S.
