Job Description

Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team of travel healthcare professionals. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic ultrasound examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures.
  • Work under the direction of experienced staff sonographers and medical directors.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures and patient safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and advancements.
Requirements:
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Requires national certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent.
  • Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty, RVT/RCS/RDCS or equivalent for Cardiac/Vascular, required within 18 months of hire.
  • BLS certification required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technologist.
Work Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
