Position Overview:
As a Physician Assistant at our clinic, you will be instrumental in guiding patients towards their weight loss objectives through customized care, consultations, injection therapies, education, and ongoing support.

This role presents a valuable opportunity to significantly impact the lives of patients while collaborating with a team of healthcare experts and contributing to the success of our innovative weight management programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical histories, current health conditions, weight-related issues, and personal goals.
  • Work in conjunction with supervising physicians and other healthcare providers to create individualized weight loss strategies that cater to each patient's specific needs and medical circumstances.
  • Perform necessary procedures, including administering injections, prescribing medications, and managing medical devices related to weight management.
  • Provide medical advice and counseling to patients regarding injection therapies, behavioral modifications, and medication management for weight loss and maintenance.
  • Regularly monitor patients' progress through follow-up appointments, documenting changes in weight, body composition, and overall health, and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal results.
  • Maintain precise and current medical records, documenting patient evaluations, treatment strategies, progress notes, and relevant communications with other healthcare professionals.
  • Advocate for patients' health by offering support, encouragement, and resources to empower them in achieving their weight loss aspirations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments related to weight management.
  • Ability to formulate personalized treatment plans based on patients' unique requirements and medical conditions.
  • Preferred experience in primary care, health and wellness, urgent care, or emergency medicine with a focus on weight management.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care with empathy and respect.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport and building trust with patients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of weight management principles, medications, nutrition, and behavior change techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and productivity.
  • Willingness to stay informed about the latest research and advancements in weight management.
  • Passion for promoting health and wellness and supporting individuals in achieving their weight loss goals.

Schedule:
This position is structured for Monday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Friday, with no on-call, overnight, or weekend shifts required.

Work Setting:
This role necessitates on-site presence at the clinic.
