Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Patient First. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Locate patients, obtain accurate vital signs, and triage patients as needed
  • Assess patients' medical condition and prepare them for physicals and medical treatment
  • Understand and use the electronic medical record system
  • Order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed
  • Notify the Nurse and/or Physician when the patient is ready for exam
  • Assist Nurses and Physicians with various forms of patient treatment and care
  • Perform lab duties, phlebotomy procedures, and sterilize instruments
  • Receiving and storing supplies, restocking treatment rooms as needed
  • Report to the Charge Nurse before leaving at the end of the shift
  • Follow ancillary guidelines and established policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of the treatment area and complete biological cleanup
  • Wash, dry, fold, and restock laundry, and maintain the cleanliness of the washing machine and dryer lint trap
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled by the Nurse Supervisor or DMS
  • Operate, use, and maintain medical and office equipment as trained
  • Complete assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks within the assigned shift
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum typing experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician's office preferred
  • Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by the Maryland Board of Nursing
