Position Overview:

At Corteva Agriscience, we are dedicated to advancing agricultural innovation. As a vital part of our mission, we are looking for a Production Technician to contribute to our production efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in harvesting tasks including preparation, seed sampling, and unloading of trucks.
  • Execute a range of duties related to plant, field, and warehouse operations that adapt with the seasons.
  • Monitor automated machinery for processes like harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packaging.
  • Participate in production tasks such as seed conditioning, treating, and packaging.
  • Handle product returns and sorting processes.
  • Conduct field activities including scouting and inspection while managing logistics.
  • Utilize technology and computerized systems to complete work tasks effectively.
  • Perform warehouse duties such as operating forklifts and collecting samples.
  • Undertake various other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED or commitment to obtain GED within twelve months of employment.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, standing, and lifting up to fifty pounds.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to various roles in field, plant, and warehouse settings.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Comfort with technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Commitment to health and safety protocols.
  • Possession of a valid US Driver's License.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends during peak production periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two-Year Technical or Associate's Degree in Agriculture, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience in operations, manufacturing, or agriculture.
  • Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
  • General knowledge of agricultural equipment.
