Job Summary:

The Kodiak Island Borough School District is seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing educational services to students with special needs, developing and implementing individualized education plans, and collaborating with other educators to ensure student success.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs
Provide educational services to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and individual sessions
Collaborate with other educators to ensure student success and develop strategies to support students with special needs
Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in the educational process

Qualifications:

Applicants must have, or be able to obtain, a State of Alaska Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s).
