Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist

As a key member of our team at Creative Liquid Coatings, INC, the Manufacturing Quality Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our industrial processes, materials, and products.
Responsibilities· Develop and implement quality standards, sampling procedures, and forms for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
· Collaborate with the Quality Manager to devise methods for assessing cost and responsibility, and to develop procedures for disposition of discrepant material.
· Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, process quality, and/or reliability.
· Responsible for all CAR's (Corrective Action Requests) from start to finish, including direct customer contact, initiating, and following through. As well as Quality Alerts.
· Update APQP as required.
· Calibration as needed.
· Must be able to travel on short notice.
· Must have knowledge of all customer standards and requirements.
· Complete process and part audits as needed.
· Required to be self-motivated and have the ability to problem solve.
· Knowledge of IQMS, SQC Pack is preferred, and Microsoft Office is required.
· Create and submit RMA requests to the management team.
· Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
· Compile and analyze appropriate production, dimensional, and test data to comply with customer requirements for sample submissions, production, and quality requirements.
· Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, cost savings, and quality of product.
· Observe and comply with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
Quality· Explain the intent and components of the policy, including an overview of IATF 16949 Quality Management System, procedures, and work instructions associated with this job.
· Explain the function of this job and how it helps to create quality parts and services.
· Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities in products, processes, and/or quality systems.
· Identify and record any problems in products, processes, and/or quality systems.
· Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through established systems.
· Verify the implementation of solutions to ensure successful resolutions.
· Contain non-conformities and alter process until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected.
Work Environment· The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to noise levels that exceed OSHA limits. Also, the employee occasionally will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold or heat. All employees must comply with all safety policies and practices.
