Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Pacific Catch. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest quality of ingredients and food presentation, and maintaining a professional kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with overseeing day-to-day culinary operations, including line checks and inventory management
- Maintain proper kitchen culture and a professional environment, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction
- Execute and maintain prep and dish recipes, adhering to seasonal standards
- Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests, ensuring plate presentation meets the highest standards
- Train, coach, and inspire BOH team members, promoting a culture of excellence
- Maintain kitchen equipment, ordering, and inventory control
- Scheduling, onboarding, and food waste control
- Coordinate food and kitchenware needs, ensuring seamless operations
Qualifications
- Culinary Arts degree preferred
- Two years BOH management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- Technology savvy, comfortable with MS Office, Google Apps/programs, and Aloha
- Exemplary knife skills and ability to coach/train others
- Demonstrated success in managing people and strong leadership skills
- English proficient, bi-lingual a plus
Physical Demands
This is a full-time, hourly position, requiring the ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
