About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for preparing, calibrating, and administering radioactive isotopes to patients undergoing various nuclear medicine procedures. You will operate Gamma Camera Imaging equipment, computers, and other isotope-sensitive equipment to obtain visual representations or measurements of isotope concentrations in specific body areas or organs.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes to patients undergoing nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Operate Gamma Camera Imaging equipment, computers, and other isotope-sensitive equipment to obtain visual representations or measurements of isotope concentrations.
  • Provide care and service to a diverse patient population, including critically ill, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
  • Collaborate with the Nuclear Medicine Physician and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Florida State License Nuclear Medicine required.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or ARRT (N) certification.
