SUMMARY:

As a Lead Teller at Trustco Bank, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service, managing cash transactions, and ensuring adherence to all operational and security protocols. Your responsibilities will include supervising the cash vault, preparing essential reports, and driving branch growth through effective cross-selling of our financial products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Assist clients with a variety of transactions and banking services
  • Oversee the cash vault and ensure tills are balanced
  • Prepare necessary reports and maintain accurate records for audits
  • Process night deposits and ensure daily ATM reconciliations
  • Maintain a clean and organized appearance of service areas
  • Promote products and services to enhance branch performance
  • Continuously improve banking knowledge and sales strategies

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service and cash handling
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in the banking sector

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS:

This is a full-time role with work hours aligned with branch operating hours.

TRAVEL:

Occasional travel may be necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Strong communication skills in the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Bilingual abilities are advantageous.

  • Dexterity for handling cash
  • Proficient operation of office equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Working conditions are similar to a standard office or retail setting.
