Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens, you will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and technicians to provide exceptional patient care and drive business growth. You will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including prescription filling, inventory management, and staff supervision. Your expertise in pharmacy operations, leadership, and customer service will enable you to make strategic decisions that drive business results and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Experience
    • Engage patients by providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    • Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and joyful patient experience.
    • Connect with patients by anticipating their needs and proactively offering services.
  • Operations
    • Counsel patients and answer questions regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
    • Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
    • Review and interpret prescriptions, ensuring accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance.
  • People & Performance Management
    • Collaborate with Store Manager to establish expectations and goals, promote teamwork, and foster a shared vision.
    • Monitor and recognize improvements in pharmacy staff performance, implementing rewards programs as needed.
    • Manage pharmacy staff performance by overseeing training and conducting formal performance reviews.
Requirements
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • At least 1 year pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, recordkeeping, and pharmacy operations.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
