About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Information Specialist I - Onsite to join our team at CIOX Health Talent Acquisition. In this role, you will be responsible for processing release of information (ROI) requests, ensuring accuracy and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry.
  • Respond to requests for patient records, both within the facility and by external sources.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and respond to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Previous production/metric-based work experience.
  • In-person customer service experience.
Working Conditions

This is an onsite position, and you will be working in a office environment with minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. You must be able to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach horizontally and vertically for overhead use, and use a telephone or headset equipment.
