About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer 6 to join our team at Solvenow Inc. as a Medium/Low Voltage Electrical Specialist. This role involves designing electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, and sustainability/renewable energy systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, and sustainability/renewable energy systems to meet client project requirements.
  • Review and approve draft designs for regulatory compliance at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Conduct power system studies and electrical calculations, including lighting simulations, layouts, communications, fire alarms, security systems, and similar tasks.
  • Conduct site visits and studies as needed to verify that designs match location specifications, updating requirements as necessary.
  • Contribute to the firm's technical knowledge management by developing white papers and technical documentation on new or unique designs and studies.
  • Submit technical papers and designs for publication in professional journals.
  • Work with sales staff to prepare proposals in response to client RFPs, reviewing drafts for compliance with firm, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their current and future design needs and attend conferences to enhance the firm's visibility in collaboration with sales staff.
  • Perform other duties as needed and provide technical guidance and training to junior staff, mentoring them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license.
  • 10 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
