About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at Garden City Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, including Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, and Ultra Sound.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols.
  • Function as the first line interface with customers and ensure their imaging needs are met.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities to maintain high-quality imaging services.
  • Assist in maintaining department supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee radiology area and/or staff in the absence of management.
  • Process and transmit images to our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Requirements
  • Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
  • Appropriate national certifications in two modalities.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.
  • One year of Acute Clinical Radiography experience preferred.
  • Graduate of a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
  • Proficient computer skills.
