Fincantieri Marine Group is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Chief Operating Officer to join its team in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Chief Operating Officer in designing and implementing business operations and strategies across all shipyards and affiliates.
  • Bring technical expertise to management discussions and evaluate the Company's performance by analyzing and creating data and metrics.
  • Create operational condition reports for FMG shipyards and affiliates and provide recommendations to adjust operational budgets when necessary.
  • Suggest methods to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity, reduce costs, increase profits, and improve control measures.
  • Work closely with the COO and senior management team to support and recommend plans for operational processes, internal infrastructures, reporting systems, and company policies designed to foster growth, profitability, and efficiencies within the company.
  • Comply with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management and industry standards.
  • Assist in the execution of cross-functional projects such as new offerings, new business, partnership opportunities, and improvements to internal operations.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in marine or naval engineering, or closely related field, or foreign equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience in supervision or management of shipbuilding functions or processes.
  • Travel to Europe to meet with parent and affiliate Company two to three times per year.

PAY RANGE: $190,424 to $240,000 annually. This range represents the overall market pay rate for candidates who meet the necessary qualifications and experience requirements for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, and performance.
