Job Summary
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planner III to join its Livable Streets division. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing transportation projects that improve traffic safety and promote walking, bicycling, and transit in San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transportation projects that align with SFMTA's Vision Zero initiative.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Public Works, City Planning, and Recreation and Parks, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Analyze data to inform transportation planning decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate project plans and progress to various stakeholders, including community groups, elected officials, and agency partners.

Requirements
This role requires a Master's degree in Planning, Transportation, Transportation Engineering, or a related field, along with two years of transit planning and/or transportation experience. Alternatively, a baccalaureate degree in a related field with four years of experience may also be considered. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience working with diverse communities, are also essential. Additionally, proficiency in Adobe Design Suite, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Microsoft Office is required.
