Position Summary
Join our team at Design Tanks, LLC, where you will collaborate closely with our manufacturing department to enhance operational efficiency. Your role will involve diagnosing equipment and process challenges, maintaining and documenting fixtures and machinery, and updating operational documentation. You will also assist in various projects by either constructing or sourcing testing equipment and conducting validations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of the manufacturing process. Inspect components prior to assembly, evaluate prototypes during development, and test finished products.
- Document and analyze results to determine product certification or rejection.
- Support the refinement and enhancement of manufacturing techniques and protocols.
- Engage with manufacturing teams to clarify any questions or issues.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to verify product accuracy.
- Plan, execute, and record routine maintenance on relevant manufacturing and testing equipment.
- Assist in managing regulatory compliance, hazardous materials, and quality assurance programs.
- Create 2D and 3D designs that meet manufacturing specifications.
- Guide and mentor new team members.
- Provide assistance on complex projects as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with a range of industry concepts, practices, and procedures is essential.
- Ability to leverage extensive experience and judgment to achieve objectives.
- Creativity and independence in problem-solving are highly valued.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English is required.
- Open to learning and participating in on-the-job training.
- Willingness to share knowledge during training sessions.
- Strong foundational arithmetic skills are necessary.
- Capability to interpret complex specification documents is required.
- Effective verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
- Experience with SolidWorks is preferred.
Education & Experience
- A minimum of a 2-year degree is required.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent educational background is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds overhead.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
- Ability to stand on a concrete surface for up to 10 hours daily.
- Compliance with personal protective equipment standards is necessary.
- Demonstrated dexterity and stamina are required.
- Subject to periodic drug testing.
Compensation: $20-25 per hour
