Job Summary

The Arkansas Government Job is seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for planning and implementing food service or nutritional programs to promote health and control disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement meal planning and food service systems to ensure adequate diets for patients in state, public, and private institutions and agencies.
  • Analyze patient nutritional data to determine feeding problems and diet deficiencies relative to medical problems for dietary plan development and follow-up.
  • Provide technical assistance in modifying diets, writing menus, and revising dietary policies and procedures for dietary professionals and patients.
  • Conduct in-service nutritional training programs and supervise the preparation and distribution of promotional materials for maximum awareness and program effectiveness.
  • Compile narrative reports of in-service training and program implementation results for review by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Licensed as a dietician, or deemed eligible for licensure and registration within one year of employment, by the Arkansas Dietetics Licensing Board in accordance with ACA.
  • Education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in human nutrition, food and nutrition, dietetics, food systems management, or a related field.
  • Two years of work-related experience.
Working Conditions

Frequent in-state travel is required.
