Staff Today Inc is currently in search of a
Licensed Practical Nurse - Long Term Care to join our team. This role involves working in a healthcare facility, focusing on providing exceptional care to residents.


Shift:
6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Compensation:
$49.62/hr.

Position Summary:
The ideal candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the highest pay rate. This position guarantees 36 hours per week and is structured as a 13-week contract.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in developing individualized care plans for residents.
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with physician directives and regulatory standards.
- Regularly update care plans as necessary.
- Monitor and document patient observations and care provided.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) proficiently.
- Ensure timely communication with physicians regarding patient conditions and care orders.
- Respond promptly to resident requests and assist in educating families about care processes.
- Maintain proper handling and disposal of linens and medical supplies in compliance with regulations.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and hand hygiene practices.
- Report and follow up on any signs or symptoms of resident infections.

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
- Valid nursing license for the state of practice is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- The physical demands of this position include the ability to operate various tools and equipment, communicate effectively, and maintain mobility in response to job tasks.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.

Work Environment:
- The typical noise level in the workplace is moderate.
- Travel requirements may vary based on operational needs.
- Weight lifting capability of up to 35 lbs is necessary.
