Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Accounting Clerk at Unitek Contracting Group is essential in delivering critical support to our Finance Department. This role encompasses a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring precise management of financial documentation and aiding in the seamless execution of financial operations. Key responsibilities include preparing bank deposits and overseeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, making you a crucial part of our financial team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Finance Department with accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Prepare and organize financial documents and records.
  • Facilitate the preparation of bank deposits.
  • Conduct data entry for accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoices and cash transactions.
  • Process payments for outstanding accounts payable invoices.
  • Investigate and rectify discrepancies in financial records and customer/vendor accounts.
  • Oversee the collection of overdue invoices.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Minimum of one year of accounting experience with a solid understanding of bookkeeping and fundamental accounting practices.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and accurate.
  • On-site presence is required.
  • Experience with accounting software (Timberline/Sage) is advantageous.
  • This is a Full-Time position.
