Clinician I - Substance Use Disorder Therapist

About the PositionWe are seeking a qualified Clinician I to conduct trauma-informed groups, work collaboratively with CDCR and institutional staff, and deliver services to participants.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver services to participants through group and individual sessions, evaluating and documenting participant progress.
- Develop and implement treatment/action plans, engaging participants daily and reinforcing group rules.
- Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS and institutional staff, work with Facilitator Inmates and OMCP Mentors, and provide clinical verification of internship hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned, utilizing excellent interpersonal, written communication, and typing skills.
- Ph.D. in a social service or mental health field with one year of experience, or a Master's Degree with two years of experience.
- Licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences and maintaining a current and active license.
- Understanding of substance abuse causes, symptoms, and effects, appreciation for behavioral, psychological, physical, and social effects.
- Knowledge of program curriculum, objectives, and best practices.
- Ability to provide warmth, empathy, and sensitivity, develop a treatment alliance, and demonstrate proper attitudes and techniques.

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location.
