Trauma-Informed Practitioner

Job Description:

The Clinician I at Amity Foundation plays a vital role in our youth offender program, working closely with participants to deliver trauma-informed groups and support their rehabilitation journey. This position requires a deep understanding of substance abuse, its effects, and the importance of community building in recovery efforts.

About the Role:

This Clinician I position involves:

• Servicing Participants: Delivering group and individual sessions to support participant growth and progress.
• Evaluation and Documentation: Monitoring and documenting participant progress, developing personalized treatment plans, and assessing client needs.
• Collaboration: Working closely with institutional staff, Facilitator Inmates, and OMCP Mentors to achieve shared goals.
• Client Support: Providing clinical verification for registered Clinician Staff and OMCP Mentors.

Requirements:

• A Ph.D. or Master's degree in a social service or mental health field, with relevant experience in SUDT and/or mental health services.
• Licensure by the Board of Behavioral Sciences, with an active and current license in good standing.
• Strong understanding of substance abuse causes, symptoms, and effects, as well as appreciation for behavioral, psychological, physical, and social impacts.
• Familiarity with program curriculum, objectives, and best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and typing skills, with operational knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access.

Salary: $85,000 annually
