  • Interpret and evaluate physician orders and prescriptions to prepare, calculate, compound, and dispense medications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify potential medication-related issues, such as drug allergies, interactions, and duplications.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote patient safety and improve medication management practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide education and counseling on medication use and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and research to ensure evidence-based practice.

Requirements:

  • PharmD degree or equivalent required; Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or related field preferred.
  • Current licensure and registration with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy required.
  • Immunizer licensure as outlined by the NJ Board of Pharmacy required within one year of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
