We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist (PD) to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Process physician orders to ensure accurate and timely medication therapy.
- Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals to patients, adhering to strict quality control measures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary medical team to modify, clarify, and verify medication orders.
- Dispense controlled drugs in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policy.
- Maintain accurate inventory control, monitoring stock levels and expiration dates to ensure quality care.
- Perform computer operations to enter physician orders, maintain patient profiles, and generate reports.
- Conduct unit inspections of designated patient care areas to ensure compliance with medication handling practices.
- Supervise nonprofessional staff, including pharmacy students, assistants, and messengers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, required.
- Current license to practice Pharmacy in New York State.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience, preferred.
