Diesel Equipment Mechanic

As a Diesel Equipment Mechanic at US Foods, Inc., you will play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of road equipment. With a focus on quality and efficiency, this position requires strong troubleshooting and repair skills to ensure compliance with trucking regulations.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience as a commercial diesel mechanic or reefer technician, with a strong understanding of preventative maintenance and safety protocols. Alternatively, candidates with 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic and TK or Refrigeration certification are also encouraged to apply.
A key responsibility of this role is to troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and more. You will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance within company standards, completing documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability, and handling road service calls as needed.
We offer a competitive salary of $26.00 per hour, plus benefits starting from day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and a $5,000 retention bonus for eligible new hires. Our schedule includes Sunday to Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with opportunities for overtime when needed.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Equipment Mechanic who can work independently, manage multiple functions simultaneously, and adapt to changing operational needs. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision, and to lift up to 120-150 pounds (with assistance).
