The title and compensation will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant. Purpose of the Role

The primary responsibility is to provide stock management and clerical support in receiving, storing, and distributing equipment, materials, and supplies. This includes receiving, verifying, marking, storing, and issuing supplies, maintaining inventory records, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop delivery schedules for Custodial Services and manage the delivery and pickup of supplies across the campus and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct weekly inventory counts and manage the kitting area for materials related to ongoing projects.
  • Review issue forms for accuracy and correct any discrepancies to ensure proper documentation.
  • Operate and inspect warehouse equipment, including forklifts and delivery vehicles, to ensure safe operations.
  • Receive and check materials from vendors, process incoming bulk deliveries, and manage defective merchandise.
  • Investigate discrepancies in received materials and coordinate with shop personnel for pickups.
  • Utilize computer systems to match requisition and purchase order numbers, maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Stores Clerk I: High school diploma, GED, or vocational training. Minimum of six months of experience in stock handling or record maintenance. Forklift certification required.

Stores Clerk II & III: High school diploma, GED, or vocational training. At least three years of experience in inventory management and property accounting. Forklift certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

Over three years of experience in inventory management and property accounting, with coursework in bookkeeping. Experience in a university setting is a plus.

Salary Range

$38,000 and above, based on qualifications.

Working Conditions
  • Uniforms and/or personal protective equipment may be required.
  • Work may be conducted in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
  • Work environments include warehouse and office settings.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of materials; ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
