Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Overnight Parking Attendant to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our parking operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure overnight operation of our parking facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance:
    • Safely use cleaning chemicals and follow established guidelines.
    • Perform janitorial services, including dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, and restroom cleaning.
    • Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators, and lounges.
    • Organize and restock supplies at the end of the shift.
    • Follow all company safety and security procedures.
    • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to your supervisor.
  • Security:
    • Perform crowd management and control techniques.
    • Assist with police and fire rescue efforts.
    • Comprehend and communicate clear instructions and carry out event needs.
    • Assist in general duties of public safety, theft deterrence, and loss prevention.
    • Monitor fire safety equipment, surveillance equipment, and card access equipment.
    • Ability to work security check-points and other posts, as well as assist with traffic control.
    • Regularly patrol the parking garage on foot or in a vehicle.
  • Parking:
    • Parking garage inspection of machines prior to the tour, as assigned by the manager.
    • Troubleshoot issues with parking access systems and provide corrective action.
    • Assist guests with any issues during ingress and/or egress.
    • Ability and knowledge to explain parking rates and procedures.
    • Perform cashier duties for exiting vehicles.
    • Assist guests with the use of ticket machines.
    • Track and report any issues with machines.
  • Other:
    • Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
    • Ability to lift, push, and pull required loads (usually up to 40 pounds).
    • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Work in accordance with the standard operating procedures of the facility.
    • Understand the organization and operation of the convention center and outside agencies, as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities.
    • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
    • Practice a high level of customer service.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, in English.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Customer service focused.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
    • Experience in heavy public contact.
    • Superior interpersonal and communication skills with all staff, tenants, and clients.
