Support Caregiver for High-Needs Individuals

Hearts and Hands of Care, Inc is a reputable organization dedicated to providing top-notch support services to individuals with high needs. We are currently seeking a skilled Direct Support Professional to join our team.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary ranging from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour. Our comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings account, and 401K savings plan.
About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who can provide ongoing services to clients and individuals with high needs in their community or home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high behaviors, providing role model behavior, engaging in friendly professional relationships, and maintaining open communication with the team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the high needs of service recipients and their individuals
- Meet productivity standards
- Implement the Service Plan and comprehensive documentation, including staffing notes, contact notes, and other forms of documentation
- Promote a strengths-based perspective while empowering children and individuals to reach desired outcomes
- Develop an individualized Service Plan with collaboration of family and team members to reflect unique child/family needs, measurable objectives, action steps to meet the needs, and incorporating the family vision and family strengths
- Be at least 18 years old
- Meet all requirements for the position as set out in relevant regulations
- Pass a Criminal Background Check
- Have no previous denial of a healthcare provider license or certification for patient services related reasons
- Be able to independently assist recipients with specific ADLs and services provided
- Attend training and obtain First Aid card issued by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or other approved agency
- Attend Mandt training
- Have confirmed service in the industry with advance training in behavioral, medical, or caregiver services (preferable)
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and knowledge of HIPPA laws. Experience with documenting in Therap database and proven ability to provide descriptive notes addressing interventions used and individual response are preferable. The selected candidate will be required to maintain regular and reliable attendance, adhere to administrative tasks, and work within the Child and Family Team to promote community-based care.
The estimated salary for this role is around $29.50 per hour, based on the company's location and industry standards.
