Job Summary

This position is for an Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanic in the Army National Guard Units. The successful candidate will be responsible for calibrating and repairing precision measurement equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calibrate and repair precision measurement equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Perform functional electronic, physical, and radioactive testing, including interpretation and analysis of measurement data.
  • Align, troubleshoot, test, inspect, repair, modify, calibrate, and certify precision measurement equipment.
  • Analyze and isolate component malfunctions, calculate and determine tolerances, and perform tests and calibrations in accordance with instructions.
  • Set up system test sets and various types of test equipment, including frequency meters, standing wave ratio meters, and radio frequency power meters.
  • Diagnose equipment, make repairs, and replace defective parts/components, including integrated circuits, printed circuit boards, and electronic condition coils.
  • Perform and interpret wipe tests on radiation sources for possibility of radiation hazards.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience with basic application of operating principles, including signal and waveform behavior, distortion, and amplification. They will also have experience in tracing signals and voltage paths, and be skilled in the analysis of waveform characteristics.

The candidate must be familiar with and abide by all Federal and State regulations concerning handling, transportation, and disposal of radioactive waste or devices.
