GR Birdwell Construction is seeking a skilled Rebar Specialist to join their team. As a Rebar Specialist, you will be responsible for hoisting and placing reinforcing materials, including rebar, wire mesh, and post-tension systems, in accordance with construction documents and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installs rebar for foundations, including wall footings, grade beams, column footings, caps, and footing steps.
  • Installs wall and column rebar, including various sizes of rebar and mechanical splices.
  • Installs reinforcing and post-tension for structural decks, including rebar, wire mesh, and post-tension systems.
  • Places reinforcing for slab-on-grade (SOG), including rebar, wire mesh, and post-tensioning.
  • Places reinforcing for tilt-up and precast concrete, including rebar, embeds, and wire mesh.

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather and working conditions.
  • Must be able to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug screen and background check.
