The Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) is a regulatory agency committed to Achieving Compliance Through Education, Regulation, and Due Process for a Safe and Healthy Iowa. As an Administrative Assistant 2 in the Building and Construction Division, you will be part of a team dedicated to protecting the health, safety, and overall well-being of Iowans.
Job OverviewThis role requires a highly motivated and organized professional who can deliver high-quality customer service. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience with Microsoft Office products and editing software.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative program assistance to the department in support of the agency's operations
- Support the department strategic communications plan
- Develop outreach and communications social media strategies and content
- Communicate with professional boards and stakeholders
- Write, design, and edit program manuals, public information, websites, and reports

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet one of the following minimum requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in any field, and experience equal to one year of full-time administrative support or technical support work
- A total of five years of education and/or full-time experience where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to 12 months of full-time work as an Administrative Assistant 1
