ProMedica is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and radionuclides, ensuring accurate and safe results.
- Apply knowledge of radiation physics and safety regulations to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals using aseptic techniques, verifying patient identity, radiopharmaceutical, and dose.
- Operate radiology information and imaging systems (RIS, PACS, etc.) and hospital information systems (Insight, Pt. Transportation System, iCare, etc.) to order exams, supplies, and input data.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, notifying supervisors of needed pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Participate in quality control techniques and quality assurance programs for all procedures and products in the department.
- Meet continuing education requirements, complete hospital in-services, and participate in research activities.
- Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring patient comfort and dignity, and educating patients about their procedures.
- Education: Graduate of a nuclear medicine program.
- Skills: Ability to cope with stressful situations, handle deadlines, and communicate effectively.
- Years of Experience: NA
- License: Valid State of Ohio Nuclear Medicine license and registration by the ARRT or NMTCB certification.
- Certification: CPR certification.
- Physical Demands: Ability to tolerate radiation and electrical hazards, bloodborne pathogens, and heavy protective garments.
- Ability to move about the facility, handle stooping, standing, walking, and lifting as required by the position.
