RN - Quality Assurance Specialist

This position supports the organization's Risk Management/Patient Safety program through investigation and analysis of potential and actual adverse events, claims, and regulatory compliance and accreditation related occurrences or deficiencies.
The successful candidate will perform risk analysis to maintain protection of organization's assets, investigate incidents that may result in asset loss, and compile findings in reports for further review.
This role also involves collecting information necessary to prepare for defense of claims and participating in Root Cause and Intense Analyses.
Providence caregivers are valued for their commitment to patient-focused, whole-person care.
This position requires a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Clinical Discipline or healthcare-related field
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
- 5 years of healthcare-related experience in a responsible position requiring contact with various departments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Healthcare Quality Professional or Healthcare Risk Management Professional
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Related Risk experience
