Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Position

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Matrix Providers. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for managing patient anesthesia experience, performing preoperative evaluations and preparations, administering monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, monitoring and managing patient reactions to anesthesia and surgery, managing fluid therapy, performing and managing invasive monitoring, and performing post-operative evaluations as privileged by the Medical Treatment Facility Credentials Committee.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient, including obtaining informed consent and requesting consultations and diagnostic studies.
- Develop and implement an anesthetic plan of care.
- Perform an assessment immediately before the induction of anesthesia, reviewing the medical record and appraising any changes in the patient's condition.
- Maintain the patient's physiological homeostasis and correct abnormal responses to the anesthesia and surgery.
- Collect and interpret patient physiological data by selecting, applying, or inserting noninvasive monitoring modalities.
- Manage the patient's airway and pulmonary status.
- Manage the patient's emergence and recovery from anesthesia, providing relief from pain and anesthesia side effects, and preventing complications.
- Record all pertinent events during the introduction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, including the dosage and duration of all anesthetic agents, other drugs, intravenous fluids, and blood or blood components.
- Record post-anesthetic visits, including at least one note describing the presence or absence of anesthesia-related complications of the procedure.
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Graduate from an academic program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetist Programs (COA).
- Certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Demonstrated clinical competency within the past two years in the required clinical discipline.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse anesthetist.
